of the flesh and grasp on to whatever that is left of one's innocence and faith in a seemingly God-forsaken world?

Marry my ex-wife. Then all temptation leaves the body as you realize that temptation is just a tool to use against you.

I have never been more at peace and NOTHING tempts me anymore. I see conspiracy and manipulation behind every temptation and I am no longer tempted.

1 Corinthians 10:13-14
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man;but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Therefore flee idolatry.

Also - take drastic measures to not be exposed to things that tempt you. Not an easy task in this day and age, but do your best...

Matthew 18:9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into the fiery hell.

Of course this means to do everything you can to stay away from situations where you know there is temptation.

Pray.. God hears, He knows our struggles.

God isn't the one who has done the forsaking.... We've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

This is a difficult question, but I feel challenged to answer. We all have had these temptations and the best information I can give you is this. God made you special and unique. There's no one in this world like you. While we must love God, it is also imperative that you love and respect yourself....the person God made. Yep, it's a tough world we're living in, but you've got to be able to live with your decisions regarding these temptations. You are worthy and wonderful. Don't give that away to just anyone as someone out there will love and adore you one day and you'll be well-satisfied and proud of yourself!

Do everything you do for Christ, not for yourself or for this world. Pray. Believing in God isn't only being able to talk the good talk but always working on walking the good walk. Think about walking into heaven, and seeing that you kept people from God's free gift. Harsh, but our actions give other people their excuses. A person tells himself he's comfortable in his own skin because being a Christian is kooky, but there's nothing kookier than not having your citizenship in heaven. The very best answer is trust in the Lord thy God, Pray, and read you Bible.

Discipline, planning your moves and sticking to it, knowing when to say no, and when to walk away. Having an understanding partner helps as well. And be careful who you go out with, not people who will force you to do something you do not want.
Knowing what you're getting yourself into if you have sex helps as well. If you're a guy... please be responsible. Condoms are not 100%. If you're a girl.... is contraception that prevents implantation acceptable? Do you consider that killing? These are just a few questions to consider to give you some motivation not to have sex.
If an infant result from your actions, what will you do? Consider it.

Just think and imagine the worst case consequence that will happen if you give in to temptation. The love ones you will hurt. Everyone that will be affected by your action

My suggestion is to try out all the sins...when given the choice, always choose the evil you haven't tried before. Soon enough, you will be bored into holiness...easy formula, don't you think. And remember, your church preaches that God forgives everything, so sin for a while, then repent. At least your life will not be a total waste.

Resolve to tell your mother, or some person that has a high opinion of you if you screw up. This will keep you from doing anything wrong.

..or are you saying that you're a virgin? (that's nice, too. the guy you'll give it up to should deserve it, especially if he waits till he marries you.)

for what it's worth,
focus on nice and meaningful things to keep you occupied.
"idleness is the workshop of the devil." (an old saying)

YOu just do.

And as one person here said, you do get married. That's what JEsus said.

To keep from being a fornicator all men should marry.
