9 out of 10 US Insurance companies will not cover you internationally. Reason being, not all people travel internationally and if they covered everyone for this it would only raise the premiums.

I'm not insured through Blue Shield so I don't know for fact. This is something only your insurance company can answer and I would verify what parts of Europe plus call more than once to verify the info you received is correct. I would say that odds are that no you aren't covered.

This is why you should strongly consider travel insurance. If you would like help with Travel Insurance only I can help you with that. It is based off trip cost per person and age at time of travel. Feel free to email me and I can give you a rate plus contact information.

Good question. I am going to England and France next week. I spoke to my insurance company (Humana) and they said I would have to pay for everything upfront after services, save the receipt and submit it when I return home. Then they would only pay 50% of the costs.
I purchased travel insurance for the time I am over there and it was only around $14.00.
Have fun on your trip.

I am pretty sure that in some European countries, if it is an emergency they will treat you and it is free. I have friends from England and they told me that if you were to go their on vacation and you get hurt or really sick than you would be covered with their health care system free of charge..No need for insurance then,

depends on which plan you have - if you have there ppo you should be covered. best advice is call the custome service no on the back of your card and they will be able to tell you what you benefits are and where you are covered. I'm guessing it will probably be considered out of network but something is better than nothing right
