Because it just points out how ignorant America is getting when you can't even read what someone wrote, even though the are speaking the same language as you.

We get irritated because it is just further proof that the world is full of stupid, lazy people. They don't have the intelligence to remember how to spell or to pick up a dictionary, or in the case of this, to click on an icon.
People with even a small semblance of intelligence are offended by those without, particularly in today's society where apparently stupidity is adored by the many other stupid out there. Take a look at the celebrities of today, they can barely string a couple of sentences together yet they are worshiped by the brain dead sheep in this world, it sickens me.
I apologise if my opinion offends you but i believe people should have more respect for the English language and as such should use it to the best of their abilities. I think that is what makes it so frustrating, people just don't even try anymore.

Because people should take more care to proofread what they write. Spelling and grammar errors demonstrate laziness and a lack of respect for the person reading the material.

Many people worry about the small stuff in life. Some feel that when you make spelling errors that you are being lazy. I believe we are allowed to write what we wish to...and use the "check spelling" if you want. Don't worry about what others say. My philosophy has always been, "When I care about you as a person, I will care about your opinion."

Because it shows the world one of two things:
1. You lack intelligence
or
2. You don't care
Both tend to turn off the average person.
