If brought from a bakery instead of a grocery store, fresh bagels will stay fresh for only a few days, grocery store bagels (such as Lenders brand) are not really fresh when you buy them so they will stay in the condition that you buy them for a little longer, I have found that if you take the bagels out of the bag they come in and store them in the fridge in an air tight tupperware container they will stay fresh longer than they would in the bag, if you like bagels with things in them such as raisons or berrys you should keep them near the front of the fridge so they will stay slightly warmer than the back, of even better a crisper drawer in the fridge with the humidty control set to as dry as possible.

Store bought bagels can stay fresh for months in a well-chilled refrigerator. I'm speaking from personal experience, as I've bought multiple different types of bagels and all have stayed fresh for well over a month in my refrigerator. I keep my fridge on the medial setting of 5. I've read all over people swearing and declaring bagels can't last for longer than 3 days to a week refrigerated but I undoubtedly know from first hand experience this is not true. I've had a bag of bagels for over 2 months in my refrigerator and not only did they not grow any mold, they did not even become stale. They remained completely fresh. Furthermore I have other friends that have done the same and have not experienced any mold growth on their bagels. Simply use common sense. When they go bad they will start to smell sour most of the time, obviously if you spot any mold promptly toss the bagels.

If they're bakery bagels that you bought fresh, keep them in an airtight container such as a zip top bag or a bowl with a tight fitting lid. If you keep them in the fridge they should last 3-4 days.

i purchase in bulk each and every of the time from Panera who make some fantastic sparkling bagels. yet of direction i will't eat all of them in a pair day's time b4 the get stale. so i slice them up and placed them in individual sandwich bags then place them interior the freezer. on each and every occasion i'm interior the temper for one. in easy terms a speedy 20 sec on extreme ( specially situations much less based the wattage) then pop them interior the toaster, voila- not greater moldy wasted bagels!

About a day at room temp, when airtight

Store airtightly wrapped in the fridge (not frozen)
