There are many Scriptures that help us to see what happens to us when we die. Animals and people experience the same thing when they die as stated at Ecclesiates 3:19,20--"For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again."
Psalm 146:4--"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (No one is tormented forever since they have no thoughts.) The hellfire doctrine is not a Bible teaching.
Eccl 9:5--"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (This means that people still living cannot help those who die, they cannot reward them and eventually the memory of those who die are forgotten. They are not forgotten by God though for he holds all those who die in his memory and soon all will be resurrected back to life. The fact that we do not dwell on those who die is helpful so that death is not something thought about constantly, for if that were to happen, who could stand the pain of losing loved ones? God helps us to cope with our sadness this way. )
Eccl 9:10--"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."(This also helps us to see that the dead fell neither pain nor pleasure)
Death is likened to being asleep. Psalm 13:3--"Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death." John 11:12-14--"Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead."
I hope this helps you to see what the Bible teaches regarding death.
Hell is in the Bible, but it is where all go who die for it is mankind's common grave.
And heaven is where our Creator resides. It is his throne and the earth is his footstool.(Isaiah 66:1)

We do have the answers to those questions in the Bible:-
When we die, we return to the dust (as Adam was made from the dust)
ECCLESIASTES 9:5 & 10 shows what happens to us when we die
The soul is not separate from the body. A person IS a soul
GENESIS 2:7
The only hope for a dead person is a resurrection - onto the earth
JOHN 5:28, 29
PSALM 37:11, 29
There is a heaven but there is no such place as a fiery hell
A loving God wouldn't invent such a place (1 JOHN 4:8)
The word is mistranslated & means the common grave of mankind
Please check the Scriptures to find the answers

We do know that we have sense organs, and it helps us to perceive everything including ourselves. And we know that we also feel the " I " for which sense organs are not really needed .. but as soon as we are dead, how are we (or the " I" ) to know that it has happened, without the help of sense organs(death means, sense organs not available any more ) !
And We have managed to create a hell like situation right here , now-a-days, so may be God might treat our stay here as 'deemed to have gone through hell' and pardon the hell part, and send us back to create a heaven again !

Yes there is a heaven, an yes there is a hell (of sorts) it is the common grave... Jesus said he was in hell .. Do you think god would let his perfect son be in hell for 3 days .. as a punishment for what? he was perfect!! if so then there is no hope for anyone i mean if a perfect man has to go to hell what is there for the rest of us?

The Bible clearly gives us the answers.
Eccl.9:5 states - "For the living are conscious that they will die,but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all."
Gen.3:19 says - "...until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return."
Jesus also likened death to a deep sleep in the account of the death of his friend Lazarus.(John11:11-14)
The Bible does not teach of a place of eterrnal firely torment.Nor does the Bible teach that all go to heaven. The earth was created and designed for man to reside on it .Only a chosen number go to heaven to rule as kings and priests with Christ over the earth.
(Rev.14:1-4;Ps37:9-11,29;
Pr.2:21;Rev.21:3,4)

i know what happens when we die... if you have recieved Jesus Christ, GOD's son, into your heart and believed that he was truly tortured and died on the cross for your sins and mine, then you will go to Heaven... if you don't, you will burn forever in Hell... it says so in the Bible... i know, people have translated it and retranslated it, but my pastor before the one we have now, has an actual hebrew Bible, written in the same text that the prophets wrote it... and it was not written by just men... GOD told each man that he selected exactly what to write... there is nothing man made in the Bible... everything comes from the mouth of GOD... exactly as he told the prophets to write it... and yes there is a Heaven and a Hell... it says so in the Bible... Jesus assended into Heaven 40 days after he was resurrected the thrid day after he died... and we are told that satan was sent to Hades after he tried to become higher than GOD and no one is higher than GOD... GOD said that after he returns for those of us who have accepted his name, and after the 7 years of tribulation, GOD will descend onto the earth, and those that went up to heaven with him, will come back down with him and he is going to rule and reign here on this earth for 1000 years... just before that, GOD is going to through Satan and his demons into the lake of Fire, or Hell... so yes they do exist...

I think our dead bodies will come out to wreak havoc on the world.
Acturaly the good people go to a kind of heaven whlie the bad people on this planet go to a kind of hell. Some stay on this earth to watch the silly living people.

I half way believe that you choose your heaven or hell! With there being so many religions out the that claims you must follow theirs or go to hell, it can't be right... It just riddles me as to how so many people can be very good people and go to hell.

John 5:24 says:
I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
John 5:28-29 says:
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
