No, I'm to old. BUT, find the guy/girl that you would like to go with and politely go up and ask him. He/she will be flattered. Guess what? He/she is just as shy and scared as you are to approach someone. It's a tough age, so break the ice and go have some fun. If he/she says no, then ask the next person that you want to go with.
