How many girlfriend's has he had up to you? If he has an ugly dating history that might piss them off a little. You wouldn't want your kids learning a new name every 3 months would you? Or maybe the last one pulled some major crap that involved the kids. Either way be patient. Most ex's will get over the new girl if she's good to the kids and doesn't try to step on mom's toes. If your relationship with your new man lasts longer than 6 months or so they may see you as the real deal and settle down. If you are calm enough to talk to them ask one of them why they are so upset. They may tell you why you seem to be a bother or you might find out bf has had many girlfriend's and just can't seem to leave the kids out of his dating life. Wait it out then talk to one of them. Trust me, I was in your shoes once and learned a bunch from the ex. We never stayed together and in the end they were very right about being shitty. It was never really because of me anyway

You're right, the only one's that get hurt from this is the kids. I think the reason so many ex's do the things they do are just out of purely being insecure!I think there is a lot of Jealousy involved also, them being Jealous of the one the guy is with now..It's bullshit but It's been like that forever, and I honestly don't think anyone can answer the question as too WHY!! maybe some day they will wise up and quit hurting the kids.!

That's not always true, I am the ex wife with the three children and I go out of my way to try and be nice and kind and make sure that his girlfriend knows I am not in anyway a threat to her and that we all have a roll in these childrens life and that I want it to be as pleasant as it can possibly be. I don't want my kids to deal with drama I want thier lives to be full of people who love and care about them. Now the new girlfriend is a different story, she kept him from seeing them on his weekend and talking to them on his birthday, they had baked him a cake and wanted to take it to him. I'm having a little difficulty biting my tongue but told him he needed to get his priorities straight and decided if he was going to allow her to change the relationship that he has with his children, when he gets that figured out he can let me know, until then he can stay up her ***.

It probably has more to do with the fact that they still have feelings for this cat and it doesn't sound as if they have moved on although he has.
Some women can be territorial when it comes to the kids, they basically don't want any other woman around their kids which I think is childish.
Don't let them break up a happy home though..

no not everyone . I have a situation that is different. I have a baby with a man and now he has a new girlfriend and she is treating me like ****, she is calling me names and pretty much keeping him from seeing his kid. And then I call to tell him what she is doing and he says he will make her stop but she dont. and I wont let him see his kid becuase of her, she has no right to talk to me like that, they werent together when we was so. she needs butt out.
but i dont think everyone is like that, there are some people out there that have a heart and actually care and wuldnt put the kids through that but th en there are people out there who are heartless so i guess its an iffy answer but i know i would never do that. i just wish i knew how to handle this girl that is giving me a hard time when its none of her business

They're just jealous. That and they are intimidated by you when it comes to thier children. To them, if they come over and see their dad and you, they're afraid that the children may like you more, or see you more as a mother. It's a silly thing, I know, but mothers are very territorial over their children. It has nothing to do with you, more with their own insecurities of another woman in their childrens lives. Completely normal!!!

Ex wives or ex girl friends get to hate the new girlfriend because they always feel jeloused especially when they are faultyand when they feel they have totally lost his attention. they dont want to see anyone shear their place in his heart even if they are no longer there.

Its just a territorial thing , they just want you to know they were there first....But I think its stupid afterall I have been divorced and have children by my ex , but I dont get jealous because I dont care about his girlfriend..I didnt want his sorry *** anymore..as long as he is a good dad he can see who he wants...they just better be nice to my kid.

We women are just a bitchy lot of people, there is no reason for it, it just happens. You could be the nicest person, but they don't care they just want to hurt you cause you are with him and they aren't. Keep your head up and stay strong...
