Yes, not a very specific location. BC is the size of all of France, Germany and the Netherlands combined.

BC's population is 4.3 Million. You are likely going to Greater Vancouver where half of those live - 2.2 mil. Another Million lives on Vancouver Island. So 3/4 of us stick to the coast where the weather is more mild. Mild usually means more rain. The other million deal with more snow.

Yes. You will have to shovel snow. If on the coast and you are diligent at it, probably about once a month. If you are lazy the rain will wash it away by the next day. It's hard to predict, the weather is different year to year. The winter in Vancouver is similar to Seattle, but it seems to me Seattle gets a bit more snow than Vancouver.

Obviously the 3 Mil people I mention don't travel more than 30 blocks for gas. But oddly enough, I do know people that do have to go 30 miles to the gas station.

No offense lady but pretty lame question. Not about wanting to know of B.C. but is there any civilization? Yes, if you live 30 miles from a gas station, you may have to drive there and yes, it does snow in B.C. Vancouver area gets mostly rain in the winter, is very costly to buy a home. Okanagan area gets very hot in summer, just below freezing in winter. The further north you go in the province, the colder it gets and because most of the province in in the mountains, there are areas that get lots of snow. Travel B.C. has a great web-site for more info and B.C. has been settled since the early 1600's, earlier of course by the first nations people. Health care is provided by the province except for prescriptions. Good luck with your move.

BC is great, especially Victoria and Vancouver. I live in Victoria and we are very civilized. We're like the US but we have better scenery and less polution. It gets hot here in the summer and in the winter it barely ever snows(maybe 2 or 3 times a year)Gas stations, restaurants, clothing stores etc are everywhere. I think you'll like it here!

It depends where in BC, its a pretty huge province - most of it is covered by mountains and its quite pretty. You shouldnt have to drive far to a gas station if you live in a town or city - if you live out on a farm or ranch or something you may. BC doesnt get a lot of snow, it gets the nice ocean warmth in the winter so you wouldnt have to worry too much about that.

Let me guess - by your lack of knowledge about BC and Canada, you are from the USA. And I'm not saying this out of prejudice against Americans, since I am an American/Canadian, born in the USA and immigrated to Canada. I love the USA but I am always embarassed by the amount of ignorance I see of Americans about Canada. Canadians are far more knowledgeable about the USA than the Americans are about Canada. In fact, Canadians are far more knowledgeable about all other countries in the world than the Americans are. By your question here, you sound about as educated as most of the contestants on the Jerry Springer show!

Hi - I live in BC. It depends on where you are moving to in BC. There are many great places. Summer is warm in BC but winter depends on where you live.
Vancouver area - big city (similar to Seattle - rainy winter
Kooteney area - rocky mountains, smaller towns (cold in winter - snow)
Kelowna/Kamloops - desert area (hot in summer, cold in winter)
Northern BC - warm in summer & very cold in winter.
Vancouver Island - warm in summer and rainy in winter.
Where are you going exactly. BC is huge and very diverse.
We have the pacific coast line, rainforests, rocky mountains, deserts, etc. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and I have been to a lot of them.

You need to do some more home work about British Columbia before you even think about going there - and how do you know your husband can get a good job?
