I assume that you're speaking of Maryland. Does Bowie even exist anymore?
Any politician who would let horse-racing die in their jurisdiction is obviously unaware of the immense and broad-based financial impact the sport has. Perhaps your state breeder's association should devote more attention and/or funds to lobbying.
Good luck!

YOu are one of those people who have created the overblown government we have today. When something doesn't go your way, you scream for the Governor or the President to "do something about it." Perhaps if more people banded together and worked on the problem from the private sector, they could bring back a sport which you love. But dont go making the state responsible for the death of a sport in the area.

Probably Kentucky, since they came to California & ruined the Industry with their back-as*sed ways! The only other States might be Tennessee, Oklahoma, or possibly New Jersey. Arizona & Nevada have all the slaughter rights for the surrounding states & it's sooo easy to just ship a horse out with your own trailer! These are the things that make ya go HMMMMMM!!!???

Kentucky...your governor should be prison raped and shot in the face!! why get rid of horseracing? its fun to watch b/c you can bet, relax, and have a few beers with your friends, especially when its a nice day out. Sure, you dont watch it everyday like baseball or every week like football, but its a great niche sport.....cuz you only have to show interest in it every so often.
