there are a number of ways to treat your dog naturally ,

1. u can bath them in a lemon juice mixture 1/2 water half lemon juice, fleas hate lemons and will stay off your dog.

2. put some garlic in their food , fleas dislike the taste and when the garlic enters the pets bloodstream it will repel the flea.

3. u can also bath your pet in half n half mixture of water and peroxide , this is safe for the pet and kills the fleas .

but remember the fleas are in your house as well as on your pet so u must treat any areas your pet sleeps or goes in. carpets ect.
vaccuum regularly

they say for every flea u find on your pet theres 50,000 eggs in your house waiting to hatch .. Scary eh but true.

u may be better off to take your pet to the vet and get a monthly drop this kills the eggs and fleas ect. and then u will just have to vacuum or do a flea spray on the areas your pet sleeps ect.

if not handled fleas can get out of hand and it wont be long before your house is infested and your only option then will be to get fumigated.

keep grass cut short , after all fleas live outside in the grass and can be brought in on someone who doesnt even have a pet . july - october is worst for fleas as this is breeding season for them.

good luck

Dawn dish washing soap in the dogs bath water will take care of the dog. When the dog is dry rub with a bounce dryer sheet. Fleas don't like the smell of bounce.
20 Mule Team Borax powdered soap around all the edges of your carpet, leave overnight, vacuum. Repeat if necessary

There is a product you can get called Buhach..it's a powder..it's made from an herb that can be used on your pet and in your home..it kills any soft-bodied insect on contact.
There is also a natural product you can get for your yard called 'Grub-Away Nematode' from www.GardensAlive.com .....
it's a 'bug' that will eat everything up to the adult stage of the flea. The 1st time we used it was over 8 yrs ago and this is the 1st summer we've had fleas since then.
These are not 'cheap' products but they are worth the investment if you'd prefer not to use 'chemicals' on your pets, yard or home:)

Garlic. Gets rid of fleas and ticks. It can take a little while to work, but if you keep them on it, you'll never have to use chemicals again. I give my dog tablets from the pet store that have garlic and brewers yeast in them. There are directions on the back on how much to give by weight.
By the way, giving a dog garlic cloves to eat will also de-worm them.

Buy some Brewyer's Yeast in pill form and feed to your dog. The yeast changes the flavor of the blood and fleas won't bite anymore. You still need to
wash your dog and spray your house to kill the fleas
that are already there.

Just wash them in anti-bacterial dish soap. All you want to do it drowned them. the flea shampoos are over rated, but you will have to treat your home and yard as they will come back and re-infest your dog, after you wash him you will have to pick off the ones on his head as you can not drowned the ones up there, well you know what I mean, good luck

Place the dog in the freezer for 8 hours or overnite. Thaw out gently -- the dead fleas will drop right off.
