neosporin?

Neosporin is fine, bactine is a good cleansing rinse also. The problem is that if you put neosporin on cuts, dogs tend to lick it off, continually opening the wound. If the cut scabs up on itself and the dog isn't bothering it, leave it alone. If the cut is in a place the dog can't get to (like the top of the head or on the shoulders) then you can put something on it, knowing the dog can't further irritate it by trying to lick the product off.

hi! As a Homeopath, i'd bypass with SoulDoctor's suggestion. Calendula tincture is the most effective herb at the same time as confronted with an open wound. as a count of reality, earlier you follow Calendula, make confident no longer some thing is left contained in the wound because it begins ultimate up pretty a lot immediately. you could also use Echinacea if it really is all you've round, it really is a organic antibiotic and a good desinfectant. yet in my view, Calendula tops all of them. it really is not any longer extreme priced and extremely good to have round for the therapy of all open wounds.

People antibiotics are not safe for pets. Get some
creams/antibiotics from a vet's office. They are safe for animals. Usually if the animal is licking the wound, it will heal on it's own. Use the cream only if the wound is were a dog can't lick.

Tea Tree oil works the best. You can get this at a natural remedy store. It works great on any kind of wound and can be used on people as well.
