I heard that Muslims can eat "kosher" but not anything else unless its zabiha. (Talking meat only here)

You can eat kosher as people mentioned above, but you should avoid it when possible due to the current situation of Palestine and the supporting the zionist regime.

The kosher standard is more strict.

The kosher standard is that the animal have split hooves and chews its cud. The slaughter must be made in a specific area of the neck with one cut that severs the trachea and esophagus more that half way, but not completely. The internal organs (primarily the lungs) are checked for lesions. If the lungs are clear, then all the blood is drained, the meat is salted and soaked in water and all the major blood vessels and forbidden fats are removed. Certain areas, mostly the rear half of the animal, is not considered 'kosher' because of the difficulty in correctly removing the sciatic nerve fibre. The rest of the meat is then kosher.

As I understand the Islamic law is the same as above up to the point of the slaughter....beyond that, they don't require. Thus, all kosher meat is halal but halal meat is not kosher.

Well first it's Thebeeha . You have to kill the animal fast so it won't feel the pain and in a certain way so you let the blood leave the body and that's what mean Thebeeha. Kosher is not cook with pic fat or meat , and Muslim do the same that's why we can eat Kosher also .

I don't know enough about Muslim dietary restrictions to be certain, but they both follow Old Testament dietary restrictions. I believe the diets are virtually interchangable.
