Do they show men shaving in a downward direction on there face? This is how you get in growen hairs. You must shave against the hair grow which is almost always in an upward direction on a man's face.

You never shave against the grain. You shave in the direction that the hairs grow. Shaving this way reduces skin irritations.

...I usually get ingrown hairs when I shave against the grain (legs & bikini area) so I don't know where you get that from. And it's not only shaving. The hair is growing the way it wants to grow, so if it grows towards the skin and protrudes it...you then have an ingrown hair. I've looked at the hair on my husbands face and it grows in a few different directions because facial hair is curly/kinky, not straight so it does not grow in one direction unless a guy has super fine facial hair which I have yet to see...!

Not that I agree with the commercials, but they say you are supposed to shave with the grain of the skin which is in a downward fashion. I personally shave up when it comes to my neck.
