I'm a native Spanish speaker and I can't think of any word like that... except if he started saying "Pu..."
He didn't finish the word, but it's the abbreviation for "prostituta" = hooker. In Spanish, it's a word to insult someone. I think, it could be an equivalent for "sheet", but if it's address to a person, it's different.
Did you grasp what I'm trying to say?

First person to answer your question is right.
It is equivalent to say here in México, "popó", "caca". I know that "pooh" (or more correctly written "poo") is an expression that uses the children over there. the same is here with caca y popó.
Maybe the buddy in your office is bullshit! (mierdota en español).
