What ?!! Your parents say you are useless and they will be happy if you die ?!! I wish you said your age. You should be in a loving and supportive home with loving parents. If I were you, I would find a crisis hotline, or a mental healthy facility near where you live. There are many in the community that are free of charge. The way you are being treated is absolutely terrible and has nothing to do with you. Shame on your parents !!! .. Talk with your best friends about this and find a way to get help and support. God Bless You, and best of luck, let us know when things get better .. okay? Remember, no one else like you has ever been born before, nor will there ever be another person like you born in the future. YOU ARE SPECIAL. Hang in there. :)

Yeah, my Mom once said if she had to do it over again she wouldn't have kids. She wasn't mad when she said it either like sometimes people blurt stuff out when they're mad. Your Mom may have said what she did do you when she was furious perhaps and maybe didn't really mean it. I think your question is still why is life so unpleasant right? That's a good question. I suppose without pain there's no pleasure. Without suffering you cannot appreciate the pleasure of sometimes not suffering. Life can be cold and cruel so when sometimes it isn't you feel really special and lucky. Life is not always a bowl of cherries.
Or maybe your question is what you should do about your relationship with your mother and sister. Love conquers all. The more love you have for them, human nature the more love they will have for you.

If you're old enough, you should cut off relations with your parents. They are the cause of your low self esteem which perpetuates the negative events in your life. You need to surround yourself with positive people and seek counseling to help you feel good about yourself. Achieving goals successfully will help raise self esteem better than anything. Stay away from negative people. Even your parents if they say negative things to you and hope you die! There is no loss is severing all ties with them if they feel this way anyway. You are a daughter of God and have your own unique purpose on this earth which has no comparison to your sister. You need to spread your wings on your own to figure out what this is. You are beautiful and wonderful just for being you. Don't let anyone bring you down. Look inside yourself to build skills and experiences that you can feel good about. No one can take that from you. Best of luck!

I wish I had more time to go into a more in depth answer, but bottom line your parents are toxic. Parents should NEVER say those sort of things to their children, and if they do, recognize that THEY are the ones with problems, NOT YOU. If you can cut them out of your life, I'd suggest you do. Hopefully you have good friends you can turn to, or maybe join some activities where you can make friends. We cant pick our family, but we can pick our friends. and the best of friends often end up being like (or better) than family.
You're NOT a failure....just know one day that someone *WILL* recognize your efforts, and your good qualities. :) Good luck!

My best advice to you is to love yourself and validate yourself before looking for others to validate you. You are NOT a failure, you are NOT unimportant. If you were, you wouldn't be seeking a solution to this malady. You need to stop looking for others, i.e., your parents, your sister, other family members, friends etc., for validation. Validate yourself, you are a wonderful person. You are NOT useless and if you died, the world would be very empty. Your parents sound like very toxic people, you would be wise to finish school (if you are still in school) and make a life for yourself.

Talk to other adults you trust. Find activities you like and invest time in them, it should help you build your confidence. Take care of you first, you deserve it!
I doubt any parents could say such cruel words honestly. Ask them why they could think of such thing and how you could change your life. Maybe you could have another adult present during such a talk with them. If your parents are really not cooperative and you're still living with them, see if you could live with an aunt for example.

It breaks my heart to hear you. It reminds me of my own past. I was unloved, lost , and hurting. Then I relized that if I wanted a better life I had to make it happen.I put myself through school, stayed single until I found a man who loved and adored me for the great person I am and slowly my life turned around. I hope that you know that you are worthy of every dream you hold in your heart and if you begin to focus on ways to nuture yourself good things will begin to happen for you!!!!

You're focusing on the negative aspects of life, focus on the positive and ignore the negative, and you'll find your life changing for the better very very soon. It is often what one expects that is most likely to occur in their mind's eye for life is awareness, and perspective is our only window to the world.

that's horrible that your parents would say something like that..... my parents would say stuff like that to me and i believe it till i meet my husband and he gave me love and that all i ever wanted.
you need to forget your parents and every one else and look at yourself and tell yourself that you are the greatest person in the world and Evey day tell your self something you like about yourself and write down every thing you feel. and remember never let go hold on when you start to feel like letting go and that the hold world is against you hold on and keep telling your self how good of a person you are and your parents are the failure not you.
