I am sorry you felt this way. Faith is never strong if we so easily dismiss our beliefs if we think things don't go our way. What you may not feel happened for you at this time will happen later, but only if you truly believe in God and His plans for you. Prayer is talking to God and being in His word. I prayed for a child everyday for eight years and was answered. In any of those 8 long years did I cry why aren't you helping me, my dear God. Yes, i admit, but I did not stop praying because God would not let me, nor would He ever leave me.

I would need to know more about the situation and about your prayers in order to competently answer this question.
Some general answers are also questions:
1) Did you go to God in humility, or did you make demands?
2) Did you ask in Jesus' name?
3) Did you seek God's will in the situation or did you determine beforehand what the right thing was and then ask for that, and that alone?
4) Are you still alive?
5) Do you know anything about spiritual warfare?
6) Are you aware that sometimes God answers our prayers in ways that we cannot recognize until a while later? Is it possible that God helped you in a way that doesn't make sense to you right this second?
7) Do you know that sometimes "no" is an answer God gives?
8) Do you believe that nothing in God's world happens without his permission...and that if he has given permission for you to undergo a trial, he is teaching you something valuable--something that you cannot get anywhere else--through that trial?

Prayer has a lot to do with the mind and quantum physics. You are putting the thought out there. If you go around thinking that "God" is not going to answer your prayers, then you will never get what you want out of what you are doing - praying. Why do it if you don't believe that it will work?

God created your brain. Your brain is capable of having you do MANY THINGS. Use it. There is no magic pill. Not saying that prayer won't help at all, but if we expect God to just do what we ask for in our prayers then everone would n't accomplish anything and just be sitting on their knees praying all day.

As Christians we are counciled to die to our flesh and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us as Christ lives through us. By dying to self we can eliminate the temptations of the flesh. Is this an easy thing to do? We all know that it is not... but our prayers should include that desire so that we may be strengthened through the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome all temptations.

What makes you think that God did not help you, you may ask for certain specifics...but God knows what is best for you. Even though you received a few problems..Learn from them, he is a Father...and is teaching you. God Bless.

Ben Franklin quote-
God helps those who help themselves...
meaning: you are an able bodied person and the only help you can count on is yourself
if you want anything to be done, best was is to do it yourself or directly oversee it

God is helping you to see that bad things happen when humans try to rule themselves. Are you learning or blaming God?
