Sometimes the feelings are there, but when u meet them in person they are not. I was lucky enough, to find a guy, after talking with him for 3 months to find that we have a lot of chemistry. We have been dating for a few months now. And, we feel so lucky to have found each other. My sister, tried E Harmony also, and had the chemistry on line with different guys, but when she met them, there was none. She tried meeting 5 different guys, and was about to give up. Then, I actually gave her one of my matches, with his consent of course. And, they are happily dating now. Love is out there, sometimes it just needs a little help. Good luck to your friend. I hope they are as happy, as we are.

Yes online relationships can work. However, she does need to be careful of romance scams especially if the guy lives or claims to be "working" in another country like Nigeria or Ghana or Russia. Also, she should never ever send money and allow him to send her checks or money orders claiming then cannot be cashed in another country. She should never ever accept packages that she has to send to him because he claimed the company does not ship to his country, it's most likely he is using a stolen credit card.
As long as she is not "in love" with someone overseas, things might work out. Otherwise she needs to use caution especially if he starts to ask for money.

It might depending on the distance between them. I use to be online, went out on a few dates. It was cute! Just tell her to be careful. Don't give out too much information about her family no specific address, and if she ever does get the opportunity to go out with him, make it a public well lit place. You got to be on your toes now of days. Also if she goes out with him, take pepper spray, where either 4-5 inch heel or a heavy clog (of course please match either shoe up with something stylish), and last but not least, let your best friend or parent know where you're going. Tell someone you trust! Happy Chatting!

Well in depends. Do You know if this person lives close around your area? I would say NO. Becuz you can't monitor whether or not there cheating. if they are in another school you just don't know if their hitting on other pplz or not. This is my opinon.

You don't really know a person unless you meet them in person. they can talk on the phone and chat alot, but the real deal is meeting in person. You never know about the chemistry unless you meet in person.

I'd have to say I'm partial to it, but my girlfriend and I have been talking to each other online for over 4 years.
