With all the legitimate concerns there are nowdays about National Security and National Soverignty shouldn't something be done NOW to stop the millions of illegal crossings ?
We have established borders and as a nation we have the RIGHT and RESPONSIBILTY to control who enters this country, just as Mexico and Canada have the right and obligation to control who enters their countries.
Yes I know we are a Nation of immigrants, there was a time when we needed large numbers of people in this country in order to grow. Well here's a news flash for you, we don't need to "grow" and more.
It is not and has never been Racist, biggoted etc.... to insist that those who enter this country or ANY other country do so legally.

This "invasion" is done with the consent and assistance of the Mexican Government and that has been extablished as fact many years ago.

I just want to make it quite clear, I want ALL illegal immigration controlled. I don't mean to imply that our neighbors to the south are the only source illegal immigrants.

The results of a Time magazine poll say Americans support building a security fence along the entire 2,000 mile U.S./ Mexican border by a landslide, a new Time magazine poll has found.
56 percent of respondents said they want the wall built from sea to shining sea - not just the 700 miles stipulated in the House plan.
In more evidence that the American people want a tougher crackdown on illegal immigration than anything favored by Congress or the media,
62 percent told Time that they favored using the military to guard the border..
51 percent, said the U.S. would be "better of" if all illegals were deported and the border sealed to prevent any more from coming in.
A full 75 percent say illegals should be denied government supplied health care and food stamps.
A majority, 69 percent, say illegals shouldn't be allowed to get U.S. drivers licenses.
Its pretty evident from their facts and figures that most Americans want action on the issue of illegals in this country.

We need to take the necessary steps to stop or slow this illegal immigration to a trickle, now!! Sure, we are a nation of immigrants, but we need not be a nation of ILLEGAL immigrants.There also was a time when quotas were set by the immigration service. I do not know the particulars of the quota system but do know they would increase or decrease the number of immigrants allowed from specific countries.

The illegals have had many demonstrations and parades celebrating their invasion, and they call it an invasion...La Reconquista.
Since they have declared an open war, and seem to be winning it, what on earth are we waiting for?
We have defended our country against them before. Now we are throwing it all away.
Our congress is comitting a crime against the millions of Americans who are out of work.

Yes! It should have been done years ago. We should have a shoot on sight order for anyone seen trying to cross the border illegally.

An "invasion" would be a coordinated effort by a foriegn government. These are independent individuals.
Not that illegal immigration isn't a problem - but this "invasion" rhetoric is not the solution.

I would even argue that we are a little late getting to that option. I know they're mainly looking for work and a better life but that doesn't exempt them from recognized rules and laws of nations.

militarise this, invade that. why don't you think about creating global justice so people don't need to flee poverty instead of cocking your rifles with a glint in your eye?
