This example is only used here as I feel the modern materialistic world is more likely to understand this analogy.

In terms of a company product, a logo/brand-name is featured on every packet.
So the preservation of this 'brand-name' or the religion of the family is the responsibility of the women folk in majority of Hindu families.
The women are also more sensitive about these social/cultural aspects of human life.
I hope no Hindu, women or otherwise is offended by this.

not just hinduism, most religions appeal to women more than men.

Maybe women are naturally more superstitious than men, or just more gullible.

Maybe it's a social thing too. the chance for a woman to wear and show off her latest finery.

It has less to do with hinduism and more to do with culutural India.
Women used to be forced to join the burning pyre when their husband died, but this wasn't a part of hinduism!

You will also find that women can identify with hinduism more than men and have more traditions/ceremonies than men.

it has been traditional for women to keep together the family circle and as a result, they of course, do devotions to the lord more often than the men, to maintain such.
