Salvation is offered to everyone. Not everyone will get it.

"Enlightenment can only be had by those who get "salvation".

.You can prefer "Enlightenment" and not get it.

So..Preference is not a choice here.

Enlightmenment is finding the Father, and this could be with or without going through the Son.

I am on the path to enlighment. I do it with help of Holy Spirit and through Christ//

There is nothing bad in finding the Father first. The only problem could be you may feel you are there// You can always go back and ask if you can go with Mother and Son as well. At the wedding the whole family is gonna be reunited..

This said people on the path of enlightenment are generally doing more that is asked and most likely will have an easier time than those that take a total wait and see approach..Work needs to be done. You need to save Him (true self) through unchaing the heart in order for Him to save you..

Love

Salvation because I had to be enlightened to receive salvation. So, enlightenment was not my choice but my conviction that made me receive salvation. I hope that everyone gets enlightenment this year and receives salvation through Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. Thank you for your question.

I would choose enlightenment for there is no salvation without it.

The god of this world has blinded people to the glorious gospel of Christ. Unless one sees the light of the world, one cannot choose salvation.

They are different words for much the same thing. The attainment of self-knowledge and inner peace which is what I strive for could reasonably be described as enlightenment or salvation.

This is just assuming you know the meaning of those terms.I'd prefer Enlightenment, because it would mean I have earned my place in the universe on my own merits, instead of being treated like I live in a cosmic fishbowl and need to wait for that fishing net to come swoop me away to a bigger fish tank.*It is appalling how few know the actual definition of Enlightenment. This ignorance is shameful!*

I am given a choice. I chose salvation.

Salvation brings enlightenment.

From what i understand, enlightenment is experiencing 'God', so it would be salvation in a sense. So i would prefer enlightenment.

If you mean so-called "enlightment" without God and "salvation" from knowing God, then definitely salvation! There is an old Hebrew proverb that says its better to be a living dog than a dead lion. True enlightment comes from knowing God, so if you pick salvation, you end up getting both anyway; but if you choose enlightment without God then the light within you is really darkness. And of course you need to get the right God, or you lose. The true God of the universe is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the One who sent Jesus to save us from our error, ourself, our wickedness, our enemies; in general, our sin.

For this purpose was the Son of God manifested, to destroy the works of the devil. The devil is a murderer and a liar from the beginning, and he and his ministers pose as angels of light; you shall know them by their fruits.

True wisdom is verified by its results.
The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy, full of goodness. It is without partiality and hypocrisy.

Salvation.

Because we are all incapable of saving ourselves (enlightenment). We need the Trinity , (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit).

John 3:16 reads:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Praise be His Holy Name!
