To do what? Basic obedience? is your dog a pup? With so little info all I can recommend is signing up for a basic obedience class this will get you started. Watch "The Dog Whisperer" on the national geographic channel, you'll learn something by watching. It is important to establish who the leader of your 'Pack' is ,this subject is often covered in the show.

How to train your Pit Bull to do what? They are no different than any other breed of dog to train. They can be trained the same obedience and in the same manner as any other dog would.

Diligently. Concise commands. Patience with one-on-one consistency. Absence of outsider influence (friends coming over and handling your student. Put your pooch up, even though they will never under stand). Avoid startling it or promoting aggesiveness, jealousy, envy...things that'll make the dog more territorial. proceed with caution, making nothing light of it being a lap dog. Introduce others once you do and sh!t happens...even when you think all is just peachy. Please.

I have only had one dog in my life, he is a pitbull terrier mixed with choc.lab...I treat him like he is one of my kids. puppies are just like children they need alot of attention..When teaching them to go potty when we got up in the middle of the night to go to restroom we took the dog out. and during the day about ever 45 minutes to a hour. .I personally dont belive in crate training.. We have a doggie door for our four legged son so when we are not home he can get in and out of he house on his own. if you are going to let them have full rome of the house like we did make sure you have plenty of toys for them to play with.(or you may come home to a few ruined items that belong to you) When you are teaching him to sit hold a treat above his head this will somewhat make him sit down while you are asking him /her to sit, after he has sat give him the treat and tell him/her to what a good girl/boy he is...I have found that rewarding while trainging helps work wonders at least it did for us..best advise is treat them like a person and they will honor you with same love and respect.you show them..our four legged son can shake, give high five, lay down, sit down, you can take a piece of food hold it to the side not say a word and put it in front of him and he wont touch it until told he can...he can take a small piece of food from your mouth when asked to without even touching your skin...he loves to sun bath in our front yard. I think he likes to do it for all the attention he gets from the neighborhood..he is my companion during the day while the kids are at shchool and also my personal trainer as he keeps me going...Just like kids you have to stay on top of them and keep letting them know when they have done something wrong..they can also grow up just like kids, if you don't raise them right who know's why kind of kid you will get..

go to a professional trainer. first leave it there, then take it back for private and the group lessons. that's what we did and daisy turned out to be a big playful sissy. don't say you don't have the money, or you look stupid for taking on the responsibility of such a dog.
