My Grandmother passed about 6 months ago she was VERY old and so she passed away from natural causes... She was the only Christian in my family, and when i was little i would sleep over her house and go to church with her on Sundays, I dont know why, because it was always real boring for me, but i know God makes no mistakes i know i would go because he was preparing me for my future ( bringing my mother sister and stepdad) closer to God.
Recently I started having dreams with her. when i first dreamt with her i was spooked me because i was aware that she was dead and when i touched her she cold as if she was still dead but she was talking to me alive! last night i dreamt of her again, this time it was her in the image of how she was when i would sleep over (standing tall, beautiful, strong) again i was aware in my dream that she had passed away, but she was alive and extremely well, she only spoke to me though...

The Bible, first off, has several laws against attempting to communicate with the dead. But I don't think this kind of a thing falls under those laws, because you have not been seeking to have her appear.

Does the Bible have any instances of the dead appearing with a message in a dream? No. The closest is has is when Saul has a witch try to contact the prophet Samuel after his death. Samuel does appear, but he is angry with Saul for seeking him and tells Saul that he will die in the coming battle.

The Bible also speaks of how we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses of those who have died in the faith before us. (Hebrews 12:1). I believe that those people are watching, are cheering us on. I don't believe that the dead come back and talking to us or give us messages, but I do believe the power of their prayers continue on beyond the grave.

Just because your grandmother is gone, it does not mean that her love, influence, or prayers have stopped working. The dreams may very well be God's way of reminding you of those. His way of encouraging you to continue to believe that the rest of your family will come to know Him.

You will be in my prayers today also...

Well, I can tell you this, my mother experiences the same thing, she is really religious and recently deepened her belief in God, amazingly.. anyway, my grandmother and grandfather appear to her in dreams, she's really open to it and follows her intuition, the other day she dreamt that my grandparents were telling her that she was going to miss the plane to go visit my aunt.. so she called my aunt when she woke up, and that was exactly what my aunt needed, my uncle had just had a heart attack, and she was alone in the hospital.. that is also how she finds out about a lot of stuff, and even when she's really sad, sometimes my grandmother just hugs her in her dreams.. my grandmother came to me in a dream also, and i just hugged her, and told her how much I missed her.. try to be open.. who knows, you might develop a deeper connection with your grandmother.. I think I'm gonna follow my own advice, I was so scared when I woke up, that I asked her not to come again.. and she hasn't..

As far as I know, the Bible does not say anything about the dead visiting people in dreams. However, this could be God trying to reach you and tell you to follow Him through your grandmother.

Well I'm not sure about the bible, but According to my beliefs your grandmother spirit was visiting you. she either wasn't to just be with you, tell you something, or reaffirming her love for you. I strongly believe this to be true. and had such experiences. Cherish it. Before you go to bed ask that you understand why she is visiting you and that you remember. and I would keep paper and pen next to bed so you can keep track of the dreams and don't forget them write them down when you first get up.

I think it is wonderful that you are meeting your grandmother within your dreams, and she will/has returned a beautiful strong woman that she was on Earth...for she will be in Heaven.
I pray for you that one day, you will be greeted by your grandmother as you enter the kingdom of Heaven. God Bless.

My opinion isn't in line with what a individual believes. My reaction is many times in accordance with the movements of the guy- in the event that they conflict to transform me, i will walk away. in the event that they settle for my ideals- good. in the event that they're impolite or insulting- walk away with clenched fists. In my reports, denominational Christians are the worst people to fulfill in this appreciate. it somewhat isn't a dig at any group, in basic terms my experience.

bible doesn't talk about dead people and dreams.. does say not play with necromancy/channelers/witches &whatnot..
but as far as in your dream..... i'd guess that it's just an active imagination - or possibly something not so great.
i've had lots of dreams of different things - it's usually whatevr you've been thinking about that day, or when you goto sleep... i used to dream video games :P
things can be from God without being blatantly from Him - but... `shrugs`.

the bible says that people are asleep until judgement
however i am not a christian and do not believe this is true

i am a spiritualist and speak with spirit ... but yet corinthians speak of people who are given such gifts ..
so i will leave it to you to make your own mind up on that

but what i can tell you is that when my dad passed away my mum would dream of him often
one night he showed her the alarm clock ... and this left her puzzled
now this alarm clock went off faithfully for 3 years to remind mum to give dad his medication
the night she had this dream ... it did not go off
coincidence ?
i dont feel so ... i feel dad was saying , i dont need you to do that any more

as a spiritualist i am told that during sleep it is only our bodies that need rest , our spirit doesnt
and it is not spirit who visit us during sleep but us who visit them , as our own spirit is free to travel during sleep

please know that your love for your gran still holds you together even now
and i know that this perhaps goes against your own faith and teachings ... but i am just sharing what i believe with you xxx

Ah, Dreams are just that, dreams. My father passed in 1981 and I still see him in my dreams from time to time. It makes me happy to see him in my dreams.
