As per islam and christianity, good people will be sent to heaven and bad ones hell....for eternity
As per hinduism, heaven and hell are transitory. After finishing the results of good and bad karma, one takes another birth for new lessons.
Enlightenment/salvation is Moksha for hindus when they merge into God for ever and do not take any more births....although the wheel of universe continues

Christians, Muslims, Hindus & Budhists, they all believe in Enlightenment, and you would be surprised to know that the definition is same, "To achieve the truth". But the concept is very much different. As, "Truth" is different to all.
I am a Muslim, and according to Islam, The Truth is "There is No God, except Allah (The one and only Almighty God), and Muhammad (PBUH) is His Last Messenger Sent to Earth."

I'm Muslim and I believe a form of enlightment exists. For us enlightment would be coming as close to Allah as possible by following the words of the Qur'an and the sunnah of Muhammad (s).
But is that ever attainable? There is always something more we can do.

Enlightenment is the realization of the power that Allah (or God) has in your life if you follow him. Allah has the power if we profess him and his messenger, The Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) he can change our lives.

i am a monothiest who draws from aspects in christianity and islam. i think enlightment would be going to heaven and being free of sin in ur daily life.
