What you need to do is get a professional conditioning treatment at your hair salon. They use a deep conditioner, place a cap on and have you sit under the dryer. Heat penetrates through the cap and thoroughly conditions your hair. You can do this at home too. But the first time you should have it done professionally. I'm sure you'll see a big difference.
Hope this helps!

I know what you mean. I also have wavy, thick and xtremely dry hair, but.... Mine is very long, 'till the waist. But I found a solution!!! I combine few shampoos, I recommend orange Shauma for shine, L'oreal's Pearl proteins, and pantene (I use for dyed hair). But absolute must is Revlon's perfect blond conditioner with grape ! it is fantastic! Of course, you should use some herbal pack. For best results leave it on you till morning and then wash it. Dryer is drying your hair literally, so I don't use it. It damages it a lot. When you let your hair to dry naturally, it gets perfect curls... For xtreme shine and nourishment use liquid crystals.
PS your hair gets accustomed to products, so make sure to give it variety . For example, I use one brand of shampoo once, then other time I use something else, the third time again something else. the next time I use the second... Don't fall into routine. Hope you'll try out my advices...

If you don't mind hair oil, that is what I would recommend. There's this really cool website that has all sort of frizz tamers.

If you don't like oil then out some hair gloss in your hair when it's wet.
