NOPE. But the terrorists are so proud of their violations (be headings, shooting people in the head, dismemberment, etc) that they broadcast it over Middle Eastern TV and over the Internet. So, we don't have to wonder what goes on behind their doors. It is like the Korean "Police Action," or the Viet Nam War. America is the ONLY one who is expected to "play fair." The others feel free to do as they please.

So everyone knows, the geneva convention only applies to legal combatants. Terrorist are not legal combatants and if you think they deserve to be treated under the rules of the Geneva convention then you are an idiot! The rules of the GC is a give and take. Iran and North Korea as members of the UN are generally expected to follow the GC but will probably not. In a war with those two countries, the US WILL follow the GC.

North Korea?
They tortured our POWs during the Korean War.
They killed and tortured the crew of the Pueblo.
They routinely torture the hundreds of thousands of political prisoners they have in gulags.
Pyongyang has heedlessly stood by while millions of North Koreans have starved to death.
No, they will not magically heed the Conventions they've never signed or followed.
Iran? They're a bit schizophrenic and hard to assess. They might or they might not. They're hard to predict. But they probably would because they understand what good propaganda it would be, especially with the fawning press being so easily fooled and duped, like they were in Lebanon.

The don't, they haven't and they won't.
And you will never know about the biggest violations, as they will all be buried in shallow graves.
Ask any American with time in a POW facility. That would include WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq or any other conflict you care to select.
E&E training for soldiers going to Viet Nam was worse than anything I saw concerning Abu Grab (sorry about possible spelling errors).

Ohhhhh well if someone else is doing it then that makes it ok! The US should have put all its citizens of Japanese decent into concentration camps, worked them to death or gassed them just like the Nazis did then - and everything would be fine! Oh, and what about during the 50's, maybe instead of just sending the CIA to spy on people and generally ruin their lives McCarthy should have sent them to Stalinist-style Gulags instead! What a lovely, simple, rose coloured world you live in!
How about setting an example of the behaviour you believe they should have? Either that or shut up about the 'unacceptable' leaders of those countries who use exactly the same methods you would.

certain, because in the different case warfare will be a brutal, merciless, unbelievable anarchy. We follow the Geneva Conventions because of who we are and what we've self belief. we've a lengthy historic previous of struggling with honest no count what the different aspect became doing to us. we've continually had some classification. And some thing of the civilized international in call for us for it.

We have not had ANY country treat captured soldiers of ours ever according to the conventions. We want to be so humane, so nice and understanding of our enemy. They torture, behead and booby trap the bodies of our soldiers - yeah sure lets be understanding.
N. Korea's kidnapped Japanese civilians years ago, and still wont let them leave. These people are nut jobs

I doubt that there is a country that has ever followed the Geneva Convention with regards to the rules of engagement and the treatment of prisoners.

Why do you say they seem half nuts? Oh, are you just listening to how our media portrays them? Honestly, have you really listened to what they are saying in there speeches or interviews. If you listen for yourself and draw the same conclusion then fine, but if it's only based on what other people say then I give your opinion no credit. The question is too speculative to answer. I am only concerned with how we conduct our affairs.

What is the diference between US Allies and US enemies?
