Hey deadman19...,

Try the GENFORUM and Family Search sites. Be sure to document your living relatives knowledge now, that may provide some clues. Start with your Birth Certificate, your parents names and their birth dates and locations should be on that. Then get their birth records. You also should obtain all the Death, and marriage records you can get your hands on.

Obituaries will give great information! You can't use them as proof, but you can get them from the town library where a person died. This will help you to know your ancestors also,as stories will emerge about their lives. I Included some sites below also, that you should follow up on.

If you don't have software for Genealogy, I recomend you get some. There are sites below, Free, to $30.00.

The name Border produces 204 search hits at the LDS Family Search site. Darrah produces 220, and 51 hits on Gladis McPherson. You need to search through those records.

Find a local LDS Church, aka. the mormons. They have family history centers in there churches. You should be able to find all you need there. They will at the least point you in the right direction. Don't worry, they won't try and convert you.
