What is the best exercise for cardio and at the same time will help tone the stomach area????

elliptical for cardio 1 hr at least!
tightening muscles ..use the medicine ball, crunches.

best cardio exercise without a doubt is running... in order to tighten stomach muscles (your abdominals) you should try legs raises (either fromthe floor or from a special wall mount at your gym) to tighten the lower abdominals, crunches (flat on your back, with legs at bent knees 90 degree angle, lift feet off the floor 2 inches, creates more resistance) and situps to tighten upper abs. In order to reach your lats, you should probably try side crunches.... to see results you need to start at a low rep rate (maybe 2 sets 15 reps per day) and slowly increase it each week, adding a set or two just to create more resistance for your strengthening muscles...

cardio should be running, cycling, walking even (but at a moderately fast pace)... you should be finding your target heart rate and try to exceed it... when you pass your target heart rate, (ex lets say your THR is 100 beats per min (bpm) you should be doing at least 115 bmp) you begin burning fat... this usually occurs after about 20 min of running on an average frame. RUNNING WILL HELP TONE YOUR ABS AS WELL!!!

Keep jogging & keep doing the sit ups, the two are mutually beneficial as you cant have abs without the cardio. Buy an old fashioned push mower at the hardware store. Its good cardio as you need to put in the effort to get it moving & if you keep your core tight, you get a good ab workout as well as its great for your back, legs & arms. Plus you actually get the lawn mowing done at the same time. Fantastic.

squaut thrusts fast pace if u work up to it and
sit ups while hanging from your ankles w/ swimming in between
