Muslims must treat the Bible and Torah with great respect and the people of those books, but why?
Any Islamic bashing will be reported. Don't post unecessary stuff either.

I believe the word of Allah is in the Torah and the Bible and I believe Musa (as) and Isa (as) were Prophets. So I have to do more than just respect them.

The actions you see today are of ignorance on the part of Muslims. Burning the bible, disrespecting Jesus, using violence these are all UNISLAMIC.

Read above answer from Qur'an: We back up what we say with the word of God!

Edit:There are no inconsistencies in the Qur'an or impromper grammaer. Do you even know what that ayat is about you are quoting? Do you even know what arabic grammar is?
Stop spreading lies, theres a reason why NON-MUSLIMS continually put the Qur'an as best books lists.

Because the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) has told us that we must respect these books and the people who believe in them. They are "The people of the book". We believe in the Koran because this is the unchanged word of Allah as given to the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh), The Bible and the Torah have been changed and do not exist in the original form any longer. They have been interpreted and someone has decided which parts to include and which parts to omit and they are not complete. If you start to compare them however much if what is in the Koran sounds like the Bible, it is just in a more complete form, unchanged by man.

Who flew the planes into the buildings? They were Muslim and there is no doubt about that except for the nutjob conspiracy people. according to the Jews that people look up to, Jesus (pbuh) is a phony, fraud, fake, that man, a sorcerer, trickster, deceiver and other bad stuff. They even say all kinds of stuff about Mary's (pbuh) chastity. For the Jewish Talmud legends about Jesus (pbuh), look up Dr. Josh McDowell. - How can you possibly stuff all this idiocy and intolerance in one sentence. We do NOT say those things about Jesus - listen, you act as though all Jews think about is Jesus. We never think of him and live our lives never speaking about him or giving a fig about him. Stop making up lies to make yourself look better. Edit: Dr Josh McDowell....you mean the guy who calls himself "doctor: when he never finished the requirements for a Ph.D? Joslin "Josh" McDowell is a Christian apologist, evangelist, and writer. He is within the Evangelical tradition of Protestant Christianity, and is the author or co-author of some 77 books. His best-known book is Evidence That Demands a Verdict, which was ranked 13th in Christianity Today's list of most influential evangelical books published after World War II. Other well known titles are More Than a Carpenter, A Ready Defense and Right from Wrong. This person is certainly not an authority on Judaism - you are wrong...but people like you don't seem to mind being wrong if you can convince everyone you aren't.

Simply because the Bible and Torah have the Old Testament, and they are a part of the Qu'ran.

Though, its written differently, in fact, really different than what I am used to reading, it still gives account of Moses and Abraham and a lot of the Old Testament figures.

Also, the Qu'ran says that anyone who believes in the FATHER, Christians, an Jews, should not be persecuted! (As stated in the book of Cow), so, they are to hold all sacred texts in that manner.

I havent gotten past the "cow" yet, (mental block, being a Christian, I guess), but, some day, I shall read it in its entirety...

I wish you well..

Imaan-Al-Mufassal

i beleive in Allah, in His Messengers, in His Books, in His Angels, in the Last Day (Day of Judgement), in the fact that all good and bad is due to Allah, and in Life after Death(Akhirah).

if ur wondering what this is -- it is an oath a muslim should take with his heart only when he fully accepts Islam whole heartedly. Allah has said that Jews and Christians are People of the Book. also no one is a beleiver until they dont follow what was revealed before Muhammed-pbuh and what was revealed to him. also there are many Holy Books -- four most important are --
Zabur -- revealed to David-pbuh
Torah -- revealed to Moses-pbuh
Injil/Bible -- revealed to Jesus-pbuh
Qu'ran revealed to Muhammed-pbuh.

Muslims ( true Muslims ) do respect the Bible and Torah (old testament, really ) because Allah is also the God of Abraham ( Ibrahim) Jacob and Joseph ( yousef) and Allah means "the Almighty", the God of Jesus (Yeshuah) and the Jewish Patriarchs.
In effect and in truth, there is but ONE God and whosoever professes to "believe" in God should have it within himself to respect and UNDERSTAND all other beliefs of the ONE Almighty.

Because Muslims follow what the Quran said and the Quran tells us to respect all books that were sent by God. You dont see Muslims insulting Christians or Jews on this side because we respect their religion and the prophets...If only they would understand also.

This isnt Islamic bashing, This is historical fact.
Because Mohhamad used to be a christian, when he found out it was a fraudulent religion he decided to create his own.
Islam is just as fraudulent as christianity! But if xians didnt exist, the korran wouldnt have been written.
Besides according to sumerian texts, Yhwh(Enlil) and Allah(allalu) were cousins. I think all this pissing about who "god" likes more is pathetic and embarassing.
Get the F#ck over it Muslims and Christians!
Grow up, the pair of you!!!!!!

Every person should respect each and everyone's belief, not only with the Muslims specifically. We should respect each other to make the world a better place.

Quran it is not like what the Islam say (fromGod). It is man kind made book .That is why you will see in Quran too many errors. scientifically. ex, they say the sun set and rises in muddy water, mountains are begs to keep the earth from shaking. and so many more. There are words you will find inconsistencies, and will not in compliance with the Arabic grammar.there are so many foreign words, which is not spouse to because they said our book came from God to us in Arabic. And you going to see verses uncompleted.you will reed positive verses to Christan's and Jews, and when you flip the page you will see their Allah demands killing the disbelievers, waging war on them until every one converts or they have to pay (juzyhah) TeX. so, you saying they respect bible and Torah. what you going to say to this verse: And fight them on until there is no more dissection and the prevail Justice and fight in Allah altogether and every where. And about respect Torah .........they call them Pigs and they have to die all.Muhammad killed a Jewish woman, a mother of five children just because she did not belief him as prophet. So you see Quran full with one time YES and one time NO .that way most of Muslim are confuse ether to go with this verse or to hold on to the one against.
