It's the time in the year where Muslims who promote their religion as Islam have their some sort of sacrifice... where for at least a month they would only pray the whole day... from sunrise until sunset...this is so they can ask forgiveness for their sins.. at daytime they will pray and read from their holy book called the "Koran".. and at night that would be the only time for them to eat and rest.... but they could only eat food which wouldn't taste good... and after all that hard work they would celebrate what they call "eid el fitr" and this celebration lasts for about three days...at that time this is where they prepare delicious food and wear new clothes...and this is the time where they meet their friends and share gifts...

Ramadan is a month for Purification of the soul.
To all the negative posters first of all you're all reported second of all why do you bother answering? Unless you are a bigot- don't answer a question just to shoot down someone else's beliefs. Move on to the next questions and say nothing. Better yet, learn something!

we allmightly fast in ramadan about 14 hours a day
do u think we stop eating and drinking only ?
no
we stop saying bad words stop looking to girls bad and stop be mean with other and try to help each other
ramadan is not just fasting but its lesson from god to us to feel how poor people feel
poor people dont have food and suffer
when we reach the time of eating we feel the poor people how they feel when they get food
that make us help them and give them what they need
ramadan also make also all families attende in one time to eat with each other
beautiful month
