Can someone give me an estimate of how much it costs to have a baby, I mean the hospital costs. I have insurance but we have to pay a percentage and I was wondering what that would be. So if you have any idea I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Did you give birth in the last couple of years? Were there any complications?

After my insurance paid their part, I still owed around $2000. (my son is almost 3 months old) It's a small fraction compared to the overall costs of giving birth. You can always set up a payment plan with the hospital as well, they typically will work with you, so dont stress too much.
As far as complications go, every birth is different. I had a high risk pregnancy from the start, and was able to give birth without medical intervention (c-section) or pitocin. Just relax, enjoy pregnancy while it lasts, and get your rest. You'll need it when that little one is born!

I don't think I had to pay anything with the insurance I had at the time. I had to pay for my prenatal vitamins ($10 a month), and for my sonograms, but everything else was covered. My employer has since switched companies, so if I had another baby there would definitely be more cost involved. But our plan lists an actual amount I would have to pay, instead of a percentage.

depending on how long the both of you are in the hospital and if he/she is a premie and has to be in NICU.... I would say the cheepest (in Arkansas) would be around 10,000 before any insureance and the most was over a million (4 months in NICU) it depends tremondouslly...for me, my daughter and I were in the hospital for 5 days i have a vaginal birth with 2 epidurals and my total before insureance was almost 17,000

I believe it is around $10,000. Hope you don't have to pay too much of it.
