My daughter did this for a school project, the results were different every time. It depended on the length of the licks, the size of the tongue, and how much saliva was used during the lick. Several children helped her with the survey, and the results were 181-224 licks.

The owl says it takes three but he bit it so the world may never know. I have tried it but I always end up biting the highest I've gotten is 846. So 846+ is my answer.
