I read somewhere that OPEC will probably raise oil prices when Ramadan is finished. Does anybody know when this is because I want to fill up my car before the price goes up.

Please, this isn't a question about which religeon is best or are muslims terrorists. I'm just asking a simple question and hoping for an answer.

Some people on this site are really immature

The first day of the new month is determined by the first sighting of the new moon, exactly as in Judaism.

However, unlike the Jews, the Muslims do not have a global agreement on when the new moon theoretically becomes visible, and so Ramadan may end on different days, on either 1st or 2nd Cheshvan.

So, to be on the safe side, fill up your car on 1st Cheshvan (Monday 23rd October 2006), and fill a jerrycan as well.

In Saudia Arabia, it' going to be 22 or 24.
In USA, 23 or 24.

It's different because Muslims have another calender which follows the Moon called "Hijri" Calender. The Christian Calender (everyone following right now, even Muslims) follows Sun. Sun is fixed, so dates are fixed. But moon is different, and doesn't show everywhere around the world at the same time, so there is differnet Hijri date everywhere and no body knows (except The Almighty God) when the month is going to end. So there are always 2 possiblities, whether the month will end after 29 or 30 days.

Assalamu alaikum. confident I consider you that ramadan is the month of extra effective ebadah and don't an added of cooking and buying.Ramadan is the preparation midsection for controlling properly our very own lust and needs.Allah hates dropping time and materials.we would desire to continuously stay away from meals, drinks and wec for the duration of the day..we would desire to continuously stay away from undesirable doings and enhance good doings. At evening we would desire to continuously make taraweh at 11 raka'ats after isya needed prayer and we would desire to take heed to sermon each evening. We would desire to extend our sunnah prayer, make dzikir and recite the Qur'an each evening..Allah will forgive all of our sins so on the tip of ramadan we can be blessed by potential of Allah without sin.we would have a evening after the twentieth od ramadan that's larger than one thousand months.it truly is stated as lailatul qadar. At iftar we would desire to continuously wreck our fasting with easy and non luxurious halal meals and drinks. At eaidl we are no longer allowed to placed on luxurious clothing.it truly is larger just to placed on clean clothing in spite of the shown fact that it is not a clean one.Buyoing the luxurious meals and drinks and garments are incorrect implementation of islamic habit for the duration of ramadan Ramadan is the month for increasing our taqwa to Allah SWT
