2 years. If they were not initiated by you (credit card solicitation, etc) you can write to the credit bureaus and have them removed.

it's 2 years for inquiries and 7 years for reported credit problems such as collections even if they are paid in full, I hope that the guy that is trying to get his credit improved does a little more research!

1-2 years but if you didn't actually request it, you can have it removed. A lot of credit card companies do that pre-approval thing and run your credit without your permission, find out who was doing the checking and dispute them.

inquires stay on your credit report for 12 months, but they are counted against your credit scoring for 90 days.

actually it's 7-10 years. I had really bad credit and I am trying to get it cleared up. But if they keep seeling your name to diffrent collection agencies it starts all over again. Good Luck.

they bring your credit down until you start paying off your bills, man just pay your darn bills, get a job, quite being lazy, i see your other questions get a grip girl!
