I had similar trouble with them. After demob I remained on the reserve list for 13 years although it is supposed to be only 3. They wouldn't tell why I was retained although I suspect it was to do with my being with the Allied Land Forces Central Europe and knowing more than I should.
Just ignore them.

The question is who would know your Email address to try and enlist you, and I take it you were in a specialised unit not just in the run of the mill regiments.
So if say you were a member of one of the special units then chances are your been seeked to work for some group that is willing to pay for your services to train there troops or comand there troops, and I am sure if something goes wrong the British embassy won't even want to know.
As I am sure you will already know that most of the guys that come out of those units end up as Body Guards/ security advisors in some very dodgy areas of the world.

I have had similar emails and they are not from the British Armed services as I have checked with my old unit.
These emails come from some dodgy ex-service personnel who are trying to set up their own little army where you will train foreigners and get paid for it.
The trouble with this is there is a good chance that you will not come back from where they send you at least not in one piece.
I have asked the MOD police and friends in the SIB to look into this and am waiting for information because something has been leaked somewhere, the best thing to do is ignore them or tell them you are not interested.

Get in touch with the MOD and ask them how your confidential details became available for public consumption. Or maybe they have made another almighty **** up and left another laptop in a skip.
It sounds suspicious to me. Good luck in your quest.
