I was told to get it and add to shampoo to prevent headlice. Anyone know if this works? What are some other uses for it?

The only way to PREVENT head lice is to stay away from other persons hat, brushes etc...
Some benefits of tea tree oil;
used topically as an antiseptic and anti-infective for bacterial infections, acne, and fungal infections such as athlete's foot. It is also used in connection with insect bites, sunburn, and other minor skin irritations.

Tea tree oil is an astringent. Its a natural disinfectant which can clear up bacteria. It really works well for acne, as it cleans out your pores adn the dirt that is stuck in them. Its cleansing but tingly, depending on the percentage that you buy. Health food stores carry them, and some hair beauty supply stores. I don't konw if it works for head lice, but when i get a flaky scalp, I will apply it and massage my scalp before I wash my hair and it gets it really clean. Good luck!

Tea tree oil is a great antiseptic and healing agent. We use it at our spa as either a facial serum to prevent breakouts and control oily skin or after waxing, we spray some on the area to soothe the redness and swelling. IT smells nice too, but you can find it at natural food stores/pharmacies and use as directed.

I don't know about headlice, but I've heard of using it to prevent dandruff and dry scalp.

I use it for head colds - put a couple drops in a small pot of boiling water and breathe in the steam. I also use it to treat burns

I don't know about that, but it feels really nice on your head. I think you can use it on your skin for blemishes

isnt that what is in the "three minute miracle" aussie styling stuff i use? it smells SOOO nice, and its the only stuff that works that well for me in that price range.

it has many uses. it can even cure pimples.
