Recipe: Grilled Tuna Steak
Assemble the ingredients:

• tuna steaks - 1 inch thick
• lime juice
• salt and pepper
• soy sauce
• brown sugar
• olive oil

Coat the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Prepare the sauce in a bowl by combining the soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar and olive oil to your taste.

Soak the tuna steaks in sauce / marinade for about 30 minutes.

Cook your tuna on a hot grill to your desired doneness, occasionally brushing on the remaining sauce and serve.

Have some fresh lemons or limes available to squeeze onto the tuna as you serve.

Place on a plate with brown rice and enjoy.

An alternative marinade sauce:

• 1/2 cup olive oil
• 5 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
• 3 teaspoons lime juice
• 3 teaspoons lemon juice
• salt and pepper to taste

Combine well and marinade tuna steaks 30 minutes before grilling. Delicious!

Use a frying pan, and heat it up till the pan is quite hot, then sear the tuna steaks, leaving to cook for about 30sec on each side. Then you're done.

PS: you can put some herbs and lemon on before hand, if you want, or use a nice sauce after.

One tip is to oil the steaks and not the pan (olive oil).... they don't need much cooking at all - just 30 seconds or so no each side.

They should be rare!

Best on a griddle pan or on the BBQ.

Delicious...

All good answers, but make absolutely sure you ONLY buy line-caught tuna.

Tuna fishing the traditional way involves sinking a huge - and I mean huge - net, then pulling it up like a drawstring purse. ALL fish and mammals in it other than tuna are killed.

It is a massively environmentally disastrous way of fishing and NO ONE should buy any tuna other than line caught.

I fry them, you don't need to do this for very long, depending on the size, perhaps 5 mins each side. Add a squeeze of lemon for taste, they are delicious, enjoy.
