First of all, delete these programs using "add/remove programs" in the control panel. That should remove all reg instances.

If you still want to manually remove everything, run regedit and press f3 to start a search, then search for "quicktime" or "itunes" and delete every instance.

I'm not sure the 'Windows' way to do this, so you can follow the other answers for that lol, but I know of a couple of programs that you can use to clean up your registry.

This one is just a nice tool to have anyway, I'd run the cleaner just because, but for the registry stuff go to 'issues' and run that scan.

This one is more hands on, you can go line by line and change any registry entry etc. BUT, it's hard to interpret. You should definitely use the link under it... it's an online tool that can decipher it for you... but still be absolutely sure that you know what you're deleting, cus you can totally screw up your computer if you get rid of the the wrong file. When in doubt just leave it lol

Oh, and another cool tool, if you have a program that won't 'let' you delete it b/c it says it's in use, you can use this program to kill it...

You may want to use a third-party program designed for cleaning up stray registry entries instead of trying to do it yourself, as deleting the wrong registry keys can really screw things up. TweakNow RegCleaner is a free program I've used for this purpose, though there may be others like this available.

As was mentioned before - run Add/Remove Programs first to uninstall an application. Then run a registry cleaning program and see if it finds any values to delete.

You should remove it using the Control Pannel - Add/Remove Programs utility. That removes the registry hooks.

If you can't edit or remove information from the registry, then you're not an admin on the system. You have to be a system administrator in order to remove information from the registry.

Good luck!

If uninstall or Add Remove Pgms was not sufficient then go to All Pgms and start deleting traces U find...I would not suggest U messing with the Registry if U don't kno what Ur doing...The leaves that fall off the "Tree" are difficult 2 replace properly..{:-{}.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go there and delete anything unless you know what you are doing. And if you do, BACK UP the Registery FIRST.
