It may be an infection of some kind. Any infection in the head is very dangerous as it is close to the Brain. I would recommend you really go to the Doctor as this could become more serious than a sore ear if it spread.

You should go to the doctor. Don't mess around with your hearing. Home remedies usually don't work. You want to be sure it is nothing serious.
