I am using dr seuss things for my nursery. I was unable to find what I want in terms of wall decor. Only thing I could find was cat in the hat white and red striped things. Don't want my nursery to look like a candy cane. Anyway....I have scanned pictures from books. I guess I could have them printed at Kinkos or something and fram them, but I really didn't want them framed. I want themt o look more like "items" than framed pictures. I thought about recreating them on canvas, but that would be too much. All the sketchy lines and things wouldn't do good. I like the way they look straight from the book. Got any cool ideas of a way to display them. Right now they are in digital format. So anyway of getting them from a computer to whatever is an option.

Maybe you could get them printed on that thick padded paper, i don't know what its called. And then you could cut around the edges, so it would be like a 3D image.

Go to a used book store and buy up some Dr. Suess books. Use the actual books to decorate with. Ever seen a book that has been glued open to create a decoration? You can do something to that effect. Open the books to your favorite pages, glue them open and hang them around the room.

Why don't you decoupage them into frames and make them look 3d, it is very simple:
Print them, buy the frames, the ones you want is like box frames
Then you need to go to a Hobby or craft shop, and purchase podge, varnish, one or two paint brushes, and the hobby shop just ask them what to do and how to do it, it is really a lot of fun

www.pfile.com or www.archivalUSA,com has wonderful acrylic box frames, which I think might achieve the "item" look that you are going for. They also have incredibly reasonable prices.
Check here:

And good luck with baby!
