How much money are we looking at here? I have been invited to attend an Australian skills Expo next week, as apparently my trade is in demand. If however I get selected by an employer, how much money (roughly) would it take to complete the whole process?

Would I receive help from the Australian Govt, IE housing assistance and maybe travel expenses?

Cheers.

No help from Government, If you are picked up by a company then you have to work thing out with them.
As to your entitlements you have to negotiate yourself with the company.
To find out what the going rates are you would need to find out through the unions set rates of pay. do not believe the company they are up to paying cheap labour rates and cutting back on any or all entitlements.
good luck.

The whole process may cost you about $2000. You may be able to migrate. But then getting a job and accommodation will have to be your own effort.
