i heard somewhere about a catfish down south that walks out of the water at night & fights with cats & dogs . lol :P

is this true??

One type of catfish, Clarias batrachus, commonly known as the walking catfish, is native to shallow ponds in eastern India and Southeast Asia. When droughts cause shallow ponds to dry up, the walking catfish is capable of traveling across land to move to deeper ponds. It uses its pectoral fins and tail to slither across the ground, or “walk,” in search of a suitable new pond, surviving on oxygen stored in an air chamber in its gill arch.

Indeed it is. It doesn't really walk, it wriggles along the ground like a snake. They originated in southeast Asia but have been inadvertantly introduced to Florida, where they have invaded fish farms and eaten a lot of the fish.

I heard something about this too, I am scared of fish ( don't laugh ) so I really hope its not true

I believe you are referring to what is called a "mud-puppy". Never thought they could fight with anything though. Check it out.
