I am tired, sick and weary.
All my being longs for rest.
How much more can I endure
Lord, what if I fail this test?
I so deeply want to give up.
Lay this body down and its pain.
But my sons who are sleeping,
Would be the losers of my gain.
How I love them and they love You,
I cannot walk away from this task.
So hold me up, and give me strength
Give me grace this do I ask.
Remind me daily why I struggle
Let my suffering not be in vain.
Give me courage , give me wisdom.
Let me see the path through this pain
Just Me.
Peace Be With You and Have a blessed day!

Rest assured dear Mama Bear that I am not contemplating harm. Far from it. I am striving to live this life given me.

Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand.'' (I Samuel 17:45-46a)
David was certainly an optimist! Regardless of his circumstances, David could always see God’s activity! A pessimist focuses on the problems, concentrating on the reasons why something cannot be done. The optimist sees those same problems, but he sees them from the perspective of God’s presence.
David was just a young boy when he faced Goliath, an intimidating veteran warrior who frightened even the bravest Israelite soldier. As he prepared for battle, David saw that Goliath was a giant. He heard his boastful taunts. He could not fail to notice his enemy’s weapons: a sword, a shield, and a javelin. David did not barge into the battle unprepared for a fight. He armed himself with five smooth stones. David was prepared for God to grant him victory with the first stone he hurled at the giant or the fifth. David was ready to accept God’s victory, whether it came easily or with much effort.
Optimists do not ignore the difficulties, they are keenly aware of them. But the knowledge of God’s presence prevents them from becoming discouraged or giving up. It is impossible to stand in the presence of God and be a pessimist!
The account of David and Goliath vividly pictures the source of the Christian’s faith—not our own size, strength, or resources, but the power of almighty God. If we focus on our opposition and problems, they will seem gigantic. But as we focus on God, we will see our situation in the proper perspective and be assured that all things are possible with God (Phil. 4:13).

The Apostle Paul intimated that he longed to leave this world but acknowledged that it was more advantageous for him to stay to edify the early church.
I lost four people that I loved dearly and wrestled for a long time as to why God did not take me instead. My mother died at 34 yrs of age, leaving my Dad to care for 7 children. My only sister died in a auto accident at 21 yrs old. Seen my Dad commit is life to Christ on his deathbed in 1999 and my brother Phillip was killed senselessly a year later.
So life has not been too sweet and if it were not for the grace of God I don't know how I could go on. He gifted me with a wife three years ago and I became "Dad" to two wonderful children that never had a Godly influence in their life until I came along. So while life indeed has its down times it can never take away the joy of the Lord from me. I have learned that when you get to the point in your life where you ask God if He is through with you, He throws the question back at you and asks are we through with Him? He does not close one door without opening another. I have a new family that thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. A wife who thinks I am the smartest man that ever was and two in-laws that treat me like the son they wish they had a long time ago. Life throws us lemons and with the spiritual thirst out there I think its time to make lemonade eh? God Bless You

You're having a bad day, aren't you?
When I have just such a day, I do something for myself. Any little thing that makes me feel better. Or I call a friend. Listen to soothing music. Do what I can to convince myself that this too shall pass.
If I can do something to change whatever it is that troubles me, I take the necessary steps. There is no longer a need to worry about it.
If it's something I have no control over, then I just don't worry. Things have a way of working themselves out in the end, and the worst that we imagine rarely happens.
Take care.

Sometimes the daily pressures can seem to. much to bare. I obviously have no idea what you are going through, but I do know that when I am having a down and overwhelming day, I try to do what you wrote...I pray. One of my favorite scriptures is
"For all things I have the strength by virtue of him who imparts power to me." Phil.4:13 We can't do it alone, that is for sure.
I am going to include a link to an article that you might enjoy. It has a lot of encouraging scriptures. I hope you will take the time to read it.

Sweetheart, the one thing you cannot be right now is ALONE. Get off the computer (unless you are i-ming a close friend, or emailing family, etc) and get on the phone. Call somebody from your church body to come over and pray with you. You need some human help as well as spiritual guidance.
VITALLY IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THE PERSON WHO COMES OVER IS THE SAME GENDER AS YOU!!!!!
Peace to you my sister. I've had hard times also. Praying for you, sweetie.

Yes... it happens every day for me. I handle it not necessarily because I want to (really would anyone ever want to tire him/herself???) but because I need to. The thought of failing and the fear of becoming stagnant and useless to the people around me is what encourages me to fight on with whatever I have left.
Its night in my sector... but may your hours be good as well.

I remember that the one thing in life we can count on is change. So if things are bad now they will be getting better. Also I have hope that life will improve, I know it will. I don't allow myself to doubt.

Yes, every day can be like that, depending on which things you focus your attention on. If you focus on the negative it will be a bad day, but if you focus on the positive than every day becomes wonderful...
