NTLDR sounds like a partitioning problem. Cant gurantee u will get back yur data but try this. Hook up the hard drive on another computer as a secondary disk (d drive) and pull out yur data. Check this, if this hard drive is NTFS formatted, only windows 2000 and XP will recognize this hard drive as a secondary disk. If is FAT32, any opeating system will recognize it. If that doesnt work, insert the XP setup cd and chooze the repair option. (Make sure in order to boot from the cd rom, make sure the cd rom is part of d boot sequence and it is first) Most likely this is in step 2 of the setup, the repair option. If u reach formatting and partitioning information u have went the wrong way. So try the repair option. If things are bad, u may have lost yur data and all u can do is get a file recovery program eg File scavenger or PC Inspector File Recovery if named correctly which is free. Good Luck. Laterz.

Boot to your Windows XP CD>
ON the first screen it will ask you what you want to do. CHOOSE INSTALL! NOT REPAIR>
You must get to the NEXT screen where it detects your current operating system that is installed, then do the REPAIR on THAT screen.
Nothing will get erased as long as you DO NOT choose the Format option.

Put your drive in another pc(let's call it "storage pc") then copy all important data to that pc. Reinstall windows on your pc then put your drive to "storage pc" and copy all your data back in it.
