I don't think it's necessary. If your greeting says "please leave your name, number and a brief message and I'll return your call as soon as possible," it's pretty much implied that if they don't, you won't.
As for me personally, even with caller ID, I simply do not return calls of those who do not leave messages. I figure if the call wasn't important enough for them to leave a message, it is obviously not important enough to warrant a return call.

Which is why they don't leave a message.
Some people get offended by wrong number messages and some don't like leaving messages. Do what you want, but be ready for someone to get offended.

If they want to leave a message they will. You don't need to put it in your message.

No, as long as you're polite about it:
"Thanks for calling. Please leave a brief message including your name and phone number, with area code. Otherwise, your call will not be returned. Thank you!"

I also have a cellular and a landline, yet for you it sounds like it may be greater effective useful to do away with your landline...as long as you have solid provider at your place, countless minutes and are able to fee your telephone in lots of situations, it is seams such as you're arranged!

Get caller ID. Then you can call them back. Frankly, I feel that if they want me bad enough, they will call back!
