Because God wants only the best of the best to become His son Jesus, bride. Prasie the Lord.
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

In a school setting, the primary reason for testing is so the teacher will see what the students do or do not know. Well, since God is all knowing, He already knows what we do or do not know and how much faith we do or do not have.
A secondary reason for testing is so the student will realize wht he or she does or does not know and to reveal to the student how much faith he or she does or does not have.
When we realize how much faith we do or do not have, we can take steps such as prayer or doing good works to strengthen our faith.

The only reason I could find is that he did not create us all equal. Only those who were born in a geographically correct area, and were subjective to their society will make it. Or those who had known someone to explain such the God in a way they could understand it.
The rest of the people he had supposedly made were unfit. Perhaps such a God is a strong proponent for natural selection. Survival of the fittest sort of God..
Of course, I could think of multiple ways a God could have performed this without all of the cruelty so I do not buy into the buybull.

God tests us so we can experience victory. He walks in faith and believes we will win every test. He is like a proud parent who tells their child to "Go out there and show them what you can do," expecting them to win.
Tests should be "bread" for us (Numbers 14:7-9). We should grow stronger in faith as we pass each test. The test does not make us strong, but God's Word makes us strong as we use it to overcome the test.

Many people to not realize that God does not test us. He allows us to be tested. I know you probably won't take the time to do this, but if you were to read the Bible book of Job, you could learn a lot about this very subject. God is not behind all of the bad things that we see happening in the world today.

The creator is "All Knowing", so that makes testing pointless.

To know if you want to be with Him in His Heaven. If not, there's another place for you.
