Laughing period is a way of being social. Although the laughing is fake, they do it to make other people feel comfortable. Otherwise there would just be uncomfortable silence in the workplace. And this may seem akward for everyone. Fake laughing also eliminates any tension in the room.

Well which way would you have it then? You hate girls that are 'vain' according to your last post, and now you say you don't like it if people fake laugh? Wouldn't you rather have them give you that so-called fake laugh instead of blowing you off like a vain girl would?

I don't know what fake laugh is. A laugh is a laugh. No matter if you are at work or at home.
