Hello Again! I also have a three month old fawn boxer that I am trying to train. He just shididdles anywhere in the house that he wants! I smoke, I am outside about once an hour in which time, they go with me. A lot of the time, he is too busy playing when we go outside to potty so he will play and then come in the house and do his business. I am getting completely frustrated between the two dogs. I am constantly cleaning my carpets and cleaning up messes. Please help! Thank you!

one thing to know, with a puppy you have to teach them that outside is for the bathroom. I understand that you go out to smoke and just let them roam around. but mabye you should take them for a walk and smoke at the same time so they no outside is not for play. try it for a while a see wat happens

For now, while the puppy is learning what right and wrong, take him out for potty on a leash. This way you can take him directly to the spot and he can't play or explore until he's done the deed.

Once he's gone, give him some treats and praise, and then play for a bit as a reward.

hello dont let your dogs play. when your dogs dont go outside put them in a crate for a little while and then try again. they wont go to the bathroom in thier own sapce. if again they dont go put them back in the crate. and then keep going until they go outside and praise the big time and give treats so they know hey i did good. it may take a short while but it will pay off. iv done it and it worked the best of eveything we have tried.

when you take them outside, do not let them play until AFTER they have done thier business. they need to learn that when you take them out to potty, that is all they are allowed to do. then they can play for thier reward. i posted to the other question also, you have to take them outside more than once an hour so they know outside is where they are to potty. at least every 15 minutes and after they eat and when they wake up. it is your responsibilty to do this. they might not have to go all of those time, but they will after waking up and eating. after awhile they will learn and start letting you know when they want out.
