I understand that there are safety valves on the boiler but other than that what other sfety devices installed on the boiler

Well, typically there would be a flame safety device, water flow and/or pressure safeties, a safety relief valve, temperature safety logic.

If you talk of boiler, there should be a cooler near it.
There should be a pressure gauge.
Heat insulators both to protect the user and the boiler.
A device which can stop or reduce as quickly as possible the boiling fluid.
