Your argument has a fallacy of significance. Since we (Jews) do not assign special significance to Jesus or his followers, we don't really consider the question. It just doesn't matter any more to us whether Jesus was a good Jew than any other Jew that has ever lived. Your question is simply irrelevant.
I'd also like to address the people who are talking about Messianic Jews and Jews for Jesus. These organizations are not Jews. They are Christians with an agenda to convert Jews.

Jesus and his disciples were born Jews, died Jews, and taught Judaism. Paul created Christianity many years after the death of Jesus! Christians broke away from Judaism because they could not find converts willing to be circumcized. Jesus and all the disciples were circumcized Jews.
Cork: Messianic Jews are Christians. Early "christians" were only one of many differing versions of Judaism.

No. There are Jews for Jesus (I'm assuming they believe Jesus is the Messiah but still circumcise and don't eat pork etc etc).
Also, early "Christians" were converts from many faiths, not just Judaism.

You've got two different things mixed up in your question here. A Jewish person can be a member of a Religious Group and / of a member of a certain Ethnic Group. They are not necessarily the same. An ethnic Jew could be someone who is atheistic, mormon or Hindu. A person who is of the Jewish Religious pursuasion could be someone of any ethnic group - Jewish, English, Black, Oriental etc. See the difference. So your question doesn't make sense.

Jesus lived and died as a a Jew. Christianity didn't manifest as a new religion until years after his death. Jesus and his followers were just one of many sects of Judaism (Messianic Judaism) that eventually became what we call "Christianity" today.

i will't be bothered to study all of your information, yet Jesus did stay and die a preparation Jew. in spite of the indisputable fact that, that he became the Messiah isn't known by skill of Judaism's criteria of what the Messiah will be (in accordance to the prophecies contained in the Tanakh), so if one worships him because the Messiah, they are no longer Jewish. they are Christian, as Christians have diverse criteria for his or her Messiah (as their "previous testomony" isn't an same because the Tanakh). wish this helped. Peace.
