Of course it is. Ever see a guy who'll walk all over people just to climb a corporate ladder? Ever read the parable about the rich man and Lazarus? The rich man's DOGS had more sympathy for Lazarus than the rich man did. That's what happens when someone loves themselves and hates their fellow man.

However, it is also possible to hate yourself and still love your fellow man. I do. I hate everything about every mistake I have ever made. I loathe my own existance on this earth. It would have been better had I have been a miscarriage, instead of living long enough to see the light of day. Yet, I continue on, because I love my husband and my children with all my heart. I continue on, because I love God and Jesus Christ with all my heart, my mind, and my strength. I continue on, because I love mankind so much, that I do not want to see anyone sent to hell.

...and it really is a bummer to see someone willingly walk head first into Hell despite all my efforts.

a magnificent letter it is crammed with reality. My heart is going out to those that hate and their sufferers. we are all sinners and we are all to handle our fellow guy with an identical kindness, tolerance and endurance as God has shown in the direction of us. God has given us a warning as to what is going to ensue if we harden our hearts with hatred in the direction of others... Romans 2:3-4 So once you, a trifling guy, bypass judgment on them and yet do an identical issues, do you think of you will break out God's judgment? Or do you teach contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and endurance, not understanding that God's kindness leads you in the direction of repentance?

I think most people love themselves. They may not have a high opinion of themselves, but they love themselves. They wil protect and care for themselves; they will be angry if someone does something harmful or unfair to them. That's because they love themselves. The problem is an unhelathy love of self. An unhealthy love of self can be linked to hatred of your fellow man. When you begin to understand how God sees you, you will love Him in return, you will learn to have a healthy kind of love for yourself, and will be freed to love others. Notice that Jesus never gave the command to love yourself. He said to love your neighbour as you already love yourself. Sometimes this thing about loving oneself has been taken too far. Yes, we need to understand our worth before God who loves us. That does not mean staring at our own belly button to see how we are feeling about ourselves. :)

Yes this is possible. As unlovable as people are if we hate them it hurts us ultimately. After learning to love yourself the next task is at least not actively hate other people. It's necessary.

You love your fellow man, but you hate the sins they commit.

Leviticus 19:17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.

When this scripture speaks of hating your brother, it is talking about your fellow man.

Many people love thenself and not others.
That why Christ makes it a point to add two commandment
LOVE GOD AND YOUR NEIGHBOR.

self centered-arrogant people are for self.
Never see Heaven.

JOY
J= Jesus
O=others
Y=yourself

Thats the way you are to live

No. If you hate your fellow man, you have the same hatred for yourself. You just don't know it.

Yes it is. It's called Narcissism. Unfortunately, that type of person rarely if ever truly learns to love another.
